I really like "c'è la cozza tattu piane di sbarro," which I didn’t understand until a friend told me to try swapping the vowels. Or "fremo a immaginarti fra i cateti," aaahhhh... what memories. It must have been the summer of 1990 when I got my hands on the original cassette purchased in Milan from a friend of a friend. Almost immediately duplicated, it stayed with me everywhere I went for a long time, to convert those who still didn’t know them (fools!). Lately though, Elio has started to bore me a bit; it feels like he always has to mess around at all costs and it ends up being heavy. I experience it as a sort of love/hate relationship, a bit like the good debaser.
