The first scene is magnificent. The silence in a wonderful environment, the peace, suddenly broken by the frantic and pointless hunt to kill an old wild boar, whose meat can no longer even be eaten, and its young.
Ran, which means Chaos, is told to us within the first 3 minutes. A superb story with exceptional costumes that reminds us how restless, chaotic, and mysterious our lives are. For me, one of the best films of the 80s.
