Uh-oh! We've been informed that this review also appears (in whole or in part) in the November 2008 issue of Metal Maniac
One of the most difficult promos to categorize in the entire underground history. Credit to the originality with which the Tuscan band Discordia moves in these three presentation tracks. Because the band plays excellently, even virtuously, a progressive rock infused with metal and modernity. This results in a sound somewhat akin to the latest Queensryche, just to give a point of reference, but decidedly more robust (Nevermore?).
An updated and driving rock, in short, which in the title-track, for example, starts melodic, almost delicate, surely elegant, then bursts into a heavy priest-like earthquake. And throughout, Matteo's Italian singing is a fundamental element in the delivery of these songs. Technically, anyway, we're really at good levels here.
The personal impression is that by refining the songwriting from some excesses (performance anxiety?), a truly immense band could emerge.

This is an experimental yet accessible proposal, with powerful choruses, melodic grit, straightforward arrangements, and lyrics in Italian (a commendable show of bravery).
‘Tentazione’ effortlessly evokes the past and modernity, evolving into astonishing Progressive sections in the middle, undoubtedly rich in excellent musicality.
