Group that could deserve, in my opinion, a lot, the album deserves a stretched three stars, there is a demonstration of beauty, skill, and originality but we're not there yet, so I have to assign it three stars in the hope of progression in the next albums, and hoping that there will be, they need to completely break, once and for all, that thin sheet of ice that still paralyzes them.
Delta V group always formed by the Milanese duo Carlo Bertotti and Flavio Ferri, with the exception of the female voice changed several times over the years, but in "Pioggia. Rosso. Acciaio." reconfirms Francesca Tourè (already present in the album “Spazio”) with the new entry of Fefo Forconi and other musicians. They were born and grew up in the experience of time, spending long periods in basements or rehearsal rooms, and then recording studios, trying out in small concerts the effect they had, the first TV appearances, at Festivalbar, in commercials, to then have tracks produced by Venditti and tracks sung by Vanoni and so on until they reached a broader and increasingly numerous audience. They immediately set a fascinating and enveloping style that with "Pioggia. Rosso. Acciaio." will have an increasingly positive turn, due, as already said, to the expansion of the members, the change of the female voice, and the desire to evolve, becoming a sweet rock, leaving electronics aside, and where now, instead, guitars become essential, the lyrics are in conflict with the real world, speaking of general political ideas and common and personal issues, and thus they become direct to the people wanting to communicate.
They care a lot about the video clips, precisely for a direct dialogue with the audience. It is in the maturity of time, says Flavio, that this Album was so challenging and much more professional to the point of feeling the urge to arrange it, correct it, and re-elaborate it in sound and rhythm until the last moment before the final realization. The most intense tracks “Fuori Controllo” “L’Assedio” and “In Fuga” (the most beautiful of the Album) very charged and aggressive then “Maelstrom" light and floating and “I Compagni dell’85” the sweetest and most loving of the Album. In conclusion, they are a pleasant group, they have taste and they put passion and commitment, they are full of hidden talents, in my opinion, still to be developed because the audience is still a bit skeptical despite their growing progress.
They should believe even more in themselves and throw themselves headlong into this half-crazy world. The result would be a notable explosion to be cultivated over time, leaving a continuous memory that brings a person to have a spontaneous desire to listen.
