The amusement provided to me by my colleague Tepes' review has led me to delve deeper into the (un)pleasant acquaintance of this Italian band. Few have noticed that this group makes a (voluntary?) tribute to Sepultura. It's pointless to reiterate the concept: the Bestial Devastation, as even the horrendous booklet of this debut album states, are musicians devoted to True Italian bestial Metal, a musical genre that seems to have been coined by themselves.

If we consider this new genre as the union, in this case, a not too homogeneous mix, of genres such as gore, brutal, and grind, then the definition might seem less jolly and more serious. But just reading the song titles, 17 in this album, is enough to notice the abysmal musical and thematic proposal of these four likeable lads. I say likeable because battle names like "Torturer" (vocals and guitar), "Lord Destroyer" (guitar), "Animal" (Bass and vocals), and "Brutal" (drums) can only make me smile with sympathetic pity for their not-so-bright minds.

The musical proposal draws heavily from the very early and unhealthy Carcass, without neglecting Italian underground bands devoted to a similar genre. The technical level is quite low, and the drumming is rather monotonous without any particularly interesting exploits. The vocals alternate between growl and scream passages, not overlooking the usual grunts and roars so dear to a genre like brutal/grind. Now, whoever wants to listen to a grind made to perfection can go back to "reek of putrefaction" by Carcass and tear up this review. But for those who want to know more, listening to this album, besides being of unique banality and confusion, provokes more than a few laughs and truly demented cues. Starting from the cover, pleasantly unpleasant and gory (probably a photo taken at the trusted butcher's meat reserves), to the reading of the titles and lyrics of the songs: "Bestialized", "Self defecation", "Postmortem Fellatio", "Cockless Man" and "My Name is brocken-ass (Anal Fistula)" are hilarious titles with themes that talk about blood, beastly sex, and feces (basically shit...).

Naturally, from a musical point of view, nothing further to say: riffs predictable to the point of absurdity with the usual pounding drums. The songs remain on a low level between mediocre episodes like "In memory of Dr. Satan", "The Thor's hammer" to even more pathetic episodes like "No. . I want a whole pizza", "Blek tamarr ptI" and the subsequent second part and the very short "Charlie don’t shit". Hilarious the small audio citation from the movie "Fracchia la belva umana". The album closes with an insult to Sepultura, precisely with the cover of "bestial devastation", conveniently ruined. I have nothing else to say... except that there is better out there, much better indeed. However, the problem is this: they inspire curiosity and a desire to really understand how far human idiocy can go.

If you want to listen to the top of the genre, as I said earlier, go back to the good old Carcass. But if you want to laugh your head off, the bestial Metal of our 4 Italians will make you happy.
